Vision

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.' (Jeremiah 29:11)

Our Christian ethos is set within the Church of England's Vision for Education and is fundamental to all aspects of Trust life - where all are valued equally and included. All are respected, nurtured, encouraged, and enabled to achieve fullness of life. In line with our Christian ethos, we aspire to excellent learning and pastoral care for pupils and staff and are committed to being open and welcoming to all.

Our core aim is to provide children of all faiths and none with excellent educational provision within a caring and supportive ethos. We have at the centre of our mission and purpose the belief that every child has a right to educational excellence through the provision of high-quality schooling.

Our vision is to transform lives and to enable individual schools to grow, develop and serve their communities, whilst also ensuring a strong ethos of support, challenge and collaboration. We also challenge ourselves to be even better, every day. We are not content with always doing what we've always done. The new educational landscape requires new ways of thinking, leading and operating.

We all promote equity and excellence for all in a Christian context. We want our people to have opportunities that ensure their aspirations are achievable and that they can flourish as God would want them to be.

As a Trust, we wholeheartedly embrace the Church of England's Vision for Education. We are committed to working within a respectful and compassionate environment. We exist to serve the young people in our care and have a small number of core principles:

  • We expect all our schools to actively support each other and to share best practice for the benefit of all
  • We encourage each of our schools to celebrate its distinctive identity within our small trust community
  • We are committed to providing quality-assured services to keep our schools legal, financially robust, and continually improving

Our Trust believes in:

  • Being open to community schools if they want to join our Trust
  • Making sure we are an effective sponsor of schools that need our support, thus protecting either their church school or community status where necessary
  • Being a strong voice in ‘system leadership’ and a vehicle for school to school support and being part of wider local arrangements for collaboration
  • Supporting and judging schools on their context and not just on exam results and inspection outcomes

A Shared Vision:

  • Communities where every individual can flourish and maximise their potential, and where no target is unreachable
  • Promoting an exciting, inclusive curriculum, grounded in literacy and mathematics and which strongly reflects 21st century technologies
  • Ambition for all learners
  • Striving to achieve excellence and for our schools to be the best that they can be

Our Mission Statement

  • All teachers can teach to high standards given time and the right assistance
  • High expectations and early and ongoing intervention are essential
  • All leaders, teachers and children can articulate what they do and why they lead, teach and learn the way they do
